Defibrillator - Appeal For Help

  January 14, 2023

At our AGM there was a really good suggestion made that we could locate a potentially life saving defibrillator some where on our estate. One of our kind residents researched what types of defibrillator are available, costs and if there are any charities out there who could subsidise costs.

The British Heart Foundation can fund towards Public Access Defibrillators and help us to promote the free online RevivR CPR life saving training to ourcommunity. However, at this time the fund is closed to applications until next summer.

The website for the BHF https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/how-to-save-a-life/defibrillators/apply-for-a-public-access-defibrillator states that applicants must contribute towards the cost to be considered for a grant.

I am looking for a willing volunteer from our community who can review the grant conditions, complete an application and raise the necessary funds from residents (and others who may benefit).

To help you on your way Sensible Properties who carry out our property management services has offered to contribute towards the costs to get our fund going.

If you, or someone else you know could help, please contact Iain via email vqmcbn235au@gmail.com.
