Update: Wednesday 16th August 2023

Good afternoon,

We are very pleased to announce that the lift parts have now been delivered and installed and that the lift is now fully operational.

We thank you for your patience whilst we resolved this matter.

Update Thursday 10th August 2023:

Good morning,

Despite ours and South Down Elevators the supplier of the new drive is slow to respond and as yet not provided us with a delivery date.

South Down Elevators are contacting the supplier daily and will provide us with a installation date as soon as they are able to.

We have continued to update the Board and thank you again for your continued patience.

Update Friday 4th August 2023:

Good morning,

Following Monday’s update, unfortunately the change of software to the refurbished drive failed and a brand-new drive has been ordered.

We have been provided with an expected delivery and instalment time frame of early next week.

We will continue to follow up each day and will update the Directors and the blog when further information is available.

Update Monday 31st July 2023:

South Downs Elevators came out on Friday evening 28th July 2023 to fit the new refurbished drive but when they tried to pare it the auto tuning failed. They now need to change the software on the drive and and once this is done try to pare it again.

Hopefully this will be in the next couple of days but will be done this week.

Update Friday 28th July 2023:

Good afternoon,

Unfortunately, the lift remains out of service today and this weekend; however we have been informed by South Down Elevators that the replacement (refurbished) V V V R Drive will be collected today from the engineers and will be installed on Monday.

Assuming all goes well with the collection today, we anticipate that the lift will be working by the end of day Monday 31st July. 

Again, we thank you for your patience whilst we resolve this issue for you.

Update Friday 21st July 2023:

Unfortunatly, the lift remains out of service.

The Drive was passed to the only UK maintenance company, who have been unable to repair the current machinary despite their efforts.

A new drive is currently being sourced and as soon as a drive has been located and a date for installing haas been confirmed, further information will be provided.

Thank you for your patience and continued support whilst we try and resolve this matter on your behalf.

Update Tuesday 15th July 2023:

Further to the lift issues last week, the lift is again currently out of service at Altair House.

We have been working with the engineers to resolve the matter.

The V V V F Drive has failed and has been removed and passed to the manufacturers for repair.

As yet, we do not have a confirmed length of time that the repair will take, however we are estimating that the lift will be out of service for approximately a week.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause and we will follow up regularly with the engineers for an update.
