Update: Tuesday 22nd August 2023

We have been informed that the lift is now back up and running as it should be.

Dear all,

Following the lift at Rigel House breaking down on Wednesday 16^th August, the lift engineers were on site the morning of 17^th August 2023 trying to complete repairs.

They managed to get the lift up and running for a short amount of time however the lift then fails again once it is re-set. The issue is that every time the lift ‘re-sets’ all the parameters delete from the system memory so the lift forgets how fast to go and where to stop etc. The lift service company are consulting with a Shindler engineer on parts and a repair and we are told we will have a full update on Monday regarding the proposed repair.
